The relationship you develop with yourself is the basis for all of your relationships.
How do you treat yourself? What do you say to yourself when you’re having a good day, a bad day?
Do you accept compliments and praise with appreciation or do you discount your abilities, talents, gifts?
Do you sabotage yourself, taking on so much you could not possibly succeed?
Taking responsibility for others’ feelings and behaviors, knowing they have absolutely nothing to do with you!
Do you beat yourself up over and over again for past mistakes?

Stop and ask yourself, are these thoughts and behaviors helping me achieve my goals?
Is this helping me be the best version of myself, the person I was born to be?
Helping me to be a better person, friend, professional?

Stop and forgive yourself for not knowing what you could not have possibly known at the time your mistakes were made.
Remind yourself of all the wisdom, knowledge and experience you have gained as a result of your life lessons. Would you trade that for anything?
None of us want to relive the difficult times in our lives but would you give up the knowledge, the lessons?
Begin to develop the belief that everything is working out in your best interest to help you learn and grow! When you can, have a little fun along the way!
