Ever notice how difficult it can be to shift your state or focus when you are feeling anxious or down?

When we experience thoughts such as “I’m not good enough”

“I’ll never be able to make enough money” or “no one loves me” we begin to feel anxious, hopeless, or overwhelmed.

Notice the physiological response too! Does your breathing shift? Do you feel butterflies in your stomach or tightness in your neck and shoulders?

All of this in turn causes you to think more of the same negative thoughts.

One of the most effective ways to shift or interrupt this pattern is working with your physical body.

It is very difficult to think your way out of a negative mood. You can use the physiology of your body to shift. There are many ways to do this.

Stand up and shake your body vigorously

Enjoy a deep belly laugh

Engage in physical exercise

Utilize tapping or emotional freedom technique

Once you make this shift, changing your internal dialogue is much easier!

When you shift into a resourceful state you are more effective in all areas of your life!

Think about how you function when you are feeling energized and happy versus feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
